Liverpool Pride needs YOU to support our city in combatting homophobia and transphobia, and celebrating our community ahead of our festival in 2015 and beyond. There are three ways we want you to get involved:
Your voice: We want you to let us know what you think of Pride – good or bad – and tell us what you would like to see for Liverpool Pride now and in the future. You can talk to us via Facebook or Twitter, drop us an email or please come to our first public consultation event on Wednesday 10th December, Superstar Boudoir, Stanley Street, 6-8pm
We’ll be launching our theme choices, as well as sharing our evaluation from 2014 and ideas for next year.
Your time: We have been run by volunteers from the beginning and we rely on the enthusiasm and dedication of a range of volunteers. However we really need fresh blood and fresh ideas as many of our key volunteers are moving on. If you want to get involved please just visit and drop us a line at www.liverpoolpride.co.uk/volunteer to find out more.
We especially need skilled, passionate or experienced volunteers to become part of an expanded organising committee. We need people with the drive and enthusiasm (and time) to get involved in putting on the event of the summer, as well as wider cultural and community project to make a difference. Anyone interested should talk to us, and potentially attend our Open Board Event on Saturday 14th December.
Please drop a line to firstname.lastname@example.org for more information
Your vote: Pridegoers every year have embraced our theme, and we’ve drawn up a long list of potential themes all based on your ideas and suggestions. We’ll narrow this down to four choices that we will be putting out to vote on the website, and by going out to pubs and clubs to get your views. We’re going to be putting out a Pride newsletter soon, so if you haven’t already, please sign up at www.liverpoolpride.co.uk
